Nexra Studios
Paid ReleasesHandling Editor

Usage

Use Nexra Handling Editor to tune vehicles, create presets, and save handling uploads.

Opening the editor

Get into a vehicle, then use:

/handling

If you are not in AllowedLicenses, the editor will not open.

Handling tab

The handling tab lets approved staff:

  • Search handling fields
  • Edit live values on the current vehicle
  • Revert individual fields
  • Refresh values from the vehicle
  • Reset all fields to the original values from when the vehicle was opened

Live edits affect the current vehicle immediately. They are not permanently saved unless you create or update an upload.

Stats

The stats view tracks the current vehicle while you drive:

  • Current speed
  • Peak speed
  • Peak acceleration
  • Peak deceleration
  • Calculated class
  • Calculated rating

Use Reset stats to clear the current test run.

Flags

The flags view edits:

  • strModelFlags
  • strHandlingFlags
  • strDamageFlags
  • strAdvancedFlags

Vehicle flags may not react instantly like normal handling values. Some flag changes may require restarting the vehicle resource.

Sounds

The sounds view lets staff apply an engine sound to the current vehicle.

You can:

  • Pick a configured preset from Config.HandlingEditor.VehicleSoundPresets
  • Type a custom sound name
  • Reset to default by clearing the sound

Session sound changes apply to the current session. Saved upload sounds are stored with vehicle uploads and applied from the saved cache.

Tools

The tools view includes:

  • Fix vehicle
  • Clean vehicle
  • Apply selected upgrades
  • Max upgrades

These options are controlled by Config.VehicleMaintenance. You can disable them or route repair / upgrade logic through custom events.

Presets

Presets are reusable handling snippets saved in the database.

Create a preset

  1. Tune the current vehicle.
  2. Open Presets.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Enter a preset name.
  5. Use current handling or paste handling code.
  6. Click Save preset.

Preset names can use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens.

Load a preset

  1. Open Presets.
  2. Select Load.
  3. Choose a saved preset.
  4. Click Load.

Loaded presets apply to the current vehicle for testing.

Export

Use Export to generate handling XML from the current vehicle. You can copy the generated code and use it in your vehicle files or paste it into the upload / preset tools.

Uploads

Uploads are saved handling entries for specific vehicle models.

Add a new upload

  1. Get in the vehicle you want to save.
  2. Open Upload.
  3. Select Add new.
  4. Click Use current handling or paste handling XML.
  5. Add an engine sound if needed.
  6. Click Create upload.

If the vehicle already has a saved upload, edit it from the Edited vehicles list instead.

Edit an existing upload

  1. Open Upload.
  2. Select Edited vehicles.
  3. Choose a vehicle.
  4. Change the handling XML or sound.
  5. Click Save.

Saved uploads are stored in nexra_vehicle_uploads and broadcast to clients. Matching vehicles receive the saved handling when players enter them or when the engine-sound / handling cache refreshes.
